Phone looks and feel are same as old Canvas but has HD resolution screen. The Smartphone comes with 5-inch 1280x720p IPS display.
Hardware and software:
The display on A116 is not the only improvement over A110, but Micromax has also packed a 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core processor in the Smartphone. It will come with pre installed Jellybean OS.
Memory and storage:
It has 4GB of internal storage which 2GB user free space. 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core processor will boost with 1GBR of RAM, so that you can perform multi task programs at single time.
It has full HD 8mega pixel shooter camera that can record video in 1080p. It has also front camera for video calling.
Not so attractive 2100 mAh battery on 5 inch display and the usual connectivity options. Battery backup I think may be weak.
With the new A116 HD , Micromax would be hoping to repeat the success story of the Canvas 2. We are looking forward to similar success with the new phone being unveiled today,” Deepak Mehrotra, Chief Executive Officer, Micromax said.
